If by "no life" you mean that the fans don't spin, you don't get the boot up beep, etc, then either:
a) It's unplugged
b) The power cable is dead (try swapping with the monitor, and check fuses)
c) The power supply in the case is dead (should be an easy fix at the repair shop)

put the pc off & remove the printer & any webcames that is connceted to the pc only have the
keyboard /mouse/monitor /power cable connected to it then power up the pc and put the windows xp ,cd in the drive .let it boot up from the win xp.cd then reinstall windows xp . Installing Windows XP

you might need a new proessor
it put life into everything into your computer
this is the piece that akes it possible to retrive information and or store it without it it doesn't do squat i guess it just sits there doing nothing so the processor in located on the motherboard

Might sound obvious but check that all the plugs are securely plugged in! Or, a fuse in a plug may have blown.
