friend bought new computer and gave me this one,won't
turn on, think its the power supply,could it be a bad fuse?do they even have fuse,didn't c one inside,what should I do?

Unplug all accessory cards and drives and see if it will turn on then. If not, borrow your buddy's power supply and try it in your machine. If that doesn't work either, then the problem is in the motherboard and the PS is fine (probably)

power suppy will be a box connected to the inside top of the case about 6" by 4" by 3". I had an emachine once very very briefly. what I did was hauled the whole piece of crap back to the store and got a decent PC.
