i need to make lunch (sandwiches, etc.) for a quilt show. i've never been to one, so any suggestions would be great. This includes how much I should buy, prep, etc. thanks!

1. find out how many people you are expected to feed.

2. for a quilt show, make sure you don't serve anything sloppy! Sandwiches on white and wheat bread (make sure you include at least one vegetarian option like peanut butter or cucumber), short-bread type cookies, and raw veggies with a mayo or sour-cream based dip if you can keep it refrigerated, salsa if you can't. For beverages, keep it simple; hot coffee or cold sodas. Soda selection should include one diet and one regular cola and a clear soda such as Sprite or 7-up.

3. Count on 1 soda, 2 sandwiches, 1 cup raw veggies and 3 cookies per person and then throw in a 10 percent fudge factor (you can always use leftovers for your kids' lunches ;-)
