How to tell if that person is strong or weak either physical or mentally?

You only can tell that about a person if you know this person very deeply. Even so, sometimes people surprise us.

Only the strong ones (physical and mental) can pull through.

Hard to say. Corner anyone and they can prove to have some strength.
