The key hardware item for this process is your sound card. The sound card must an an analog input for your cassette player's outputs. If you have the sound card, the sound card's software package should have the ability to do the task. There are many software programs that one can use to preform this task. Creative Labs produces sound cards that are able to perform this task. I also use Nero software for digital audio conversions. I do not work for either firm and this is only my opinion. I hope this helps us.

Go to any electronics store (bestbuy, circuticity, fry's, etc.) and talk to someone in the computer department and tell them what you want to do. they will know exactly what you need. Make sure you know what windows you are running and the make and model of your computer. This will make a difference on which program to buy. You will also need extra accesories, too.
