I'm going to a museum for a birthday party...and I wanted to know...Would it be wierd to wear my gym shorts? I'll describe the look:
They are dark blue in the lower left-hand corner they say my 1st initital and last name under "------ middle school"
I was also going to wear a white roxy tank top with them.
I thought it would look sporty and cute, what do you think?

I think gym shorts are a little too much. Perhaps just jeans, and comfortable shoes. Take shorts with you if you see others dressed the same way.

I think it would look like you're ready for gym class. Sloppy, not cute. You'd better find out what kind of a museum. An art museum? Better be dressy/casual. No belly buttons or bare arms. Who's the party for? Another kid? Nice jeans. Natural-history type museum? The same.

My first reaction is for you to dress up abit for a birthday party and a museum but what are the other kids wearing? Of course you would look cute but do you think it would be like you just got out of the gym? I know it's a toss up of how you want to look. I am thinking you would look underdressed. Don't you hate it when you figure out a really cool outfit and feel good in it and then it just doesn't work for an occasion?
I know I've worn them anyways and felt real out of place.
