If some idiot wants to climb Mt.Everest or trek to the Noth Pole and gets lost why do we waste tax payers money to rescue them? And not just a little money either plus the rescuers put their own lives in danger. They should have to pay a rescue team before they go who will get them if they get in trouble. If they don't , screw em.

This idea is actually starting to catch on. In Upper Dublin PA they have a new law that says that people who drive through detour signs to continue along roads that are flooded will be fined and hit for the cost of their rescues. There are always idiots that ignore the warnings and end up needing to be rescued. The law was suggested by a fire rescue worker who almost drowned when a driver went past police barricades warning signs onto a flooded road and then got swept into the nearby creek requiring a dangerous rescue effort by a team of divers.
