Cramps are caused by the build up of lactic acid in your muscles. Lactic acid is caused by a lack of oxygen going to your muscles. SO if you get cramps in your foot, that could mean that there is a lot of lactic acid build up in the muscles of your foot. This is not a problem! All you need to do, is make your feet muscles more oxygen efficient! Try to bend and relax them everyonce and a while, to renew the blood flow and therefore, delivering new oxygen rich blood cells to the area, washing away the lactic acid build-up!

I really hope this helps, and if you have any further questions about muscles, or muscle cramps, dont hesitate to ask!

When our muscles are deprived of oxygen they build up lactic acid in the area which results in cramps.
For example, we might get cramps after running as the muscles are required to work faster than they can take in oxygen, creating an oxygen debt and cramps.
If you keep getting cramp in your foot it is likely to be that you either cut off the circulation by leaning/sitting on it or you might have poor circulation in your extremities (hands and feet). To avoid cramp regularly move the the foot around to improve circulation and wear warm socks. Maintain a balanced diet and don't smoke as these things affect circulation. If it gets worse, see a doctor.
Hope this helps!

Like one lady respondent I have occasionally had night cramps in my leg/feet and the prescribed Quinine tablets seem to do the trick (the following nights!!) Cramps seem to come on after over exertion of that group of muscles which cramp up. Another reason is lack of some chemicals which is why a banana a day is recommended as they are a good source of (I think ) potassium.

bypass outdoors and get some excersize earlier the effort-free. i understand you probable sense like crap, yet have faith me, mild excersize reduces the discomfort. Take a medium speed bike experience, swim some sluggish laps, or only decide for a rapid paced stroll. It quite helps cramps. a rapid time earlier you reside, take some extra power Midol. in case you have not have been on condition that, then Advil, Tylenol, and so on. at school if your cramps are that undesirable that day, only say you forgot your gym clothing or bypass to the nurse and tell her what's up. it would desire to be embarrassing however the nurse is there for that style of component! i'm particular she would grant you with suggestion and excuse you from gym. In eighth grade I had a somewhat strict male gym instructor and whilst my friends and that i had era issues, we'd bypass with one yet another to the nurse.

i can't tell why you keep getting cramps for sure cause there may be many reasons.but may be you got cramps because you did not take enough water (and sometimes salt and minerals) given out as sweat and then needed by your body to circulate the blood as water makes up 80-90% of your blood

Dehydration and lack of activity. You are supposed to drink 8 glasses of water a day, and try stretching your foot out at night before you go to sleep.
