First of all, that's one of the slower PCI video cards. Both the Gf 6200: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814139010 and the X1300: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814129062 are considerably faster.

That isn't your problem, though. Your problem is that you're now running two video "cards". You have to disable the onboard video through Windows, or your still "feeding" it video, which is using both processor power and memory. Here's how:

1) right-click on My Computer
2) select Properties
3) select the Hardware tab (at the top)
4) click on Device Manager
5) click on the plus sign (+) next to Display Adapters
6) right-click on whatever the name of your onboard video is called (the one that isn't BFG FX5200, in other words)
7) select Disable

Do NOT select Uninstall. If you do, Windows will gladly reinstall the driver for you, the next time you restart your computer, and you'll have to start over. Just disable the onboard video, then restart, and you're through.

Well I don't know what you upgraded from, but that card is very outdated, it came out in March of 2003. I don't know what type of connections you have as far as PCI, AGP or PCI Express. If you only have PCI then this about the best card you can get unfortunately. If you have AGP then you can get something in the GeForce 6000 series, if you have PCI Express you can get just about anything. Unfortunately if all you have is PCI and you are looking for better graphics, you will need a new computer.
