Case in point:
Arlen Specter said that the bill (Military Commissions Act) sends us back 900 years because it denies habeas corpus rights and allows the President to detain people indefinitely. He also said the bill violates core Constitutional protections. Then he voted for it.

If it's beneficial to them they change or completely ignore any law that might hinder their hypocritical agenda. By the way, I've read some of your answers and am very impressed with your knowledge. I intend to read every word on your web site.

Because they are closet democrats. Neo-cons embrace just about all the core principles of the democrats. Intervention in foreign countries, big government, flip flopping, support for trans-national companies, the one world government etc etc.

Read Pat Buchanan for a view of true conservatism.

Habeas Corpus only applies to US Citizens and this bill does not apply to them anyway, so his first statement made no sense. Maybe he figured that out.

And here I thought that it was the Democrats. I voted for the war then I didn't from Kerry to I think Mrs. Ararafat is a good humanitarian from the junior senator from New York. The list goes on and on from both sides but that is not what you want to believe so you lose and I get two points..................
