In one of the answers to another question someone said you can see the American Flag on the moon. I don't believe this. I don't think any earth bound telescope is powerful enough. Is it true. If it is why aren't there any pictures of it on the web.

There is no wind on the moon.
And I'm not getting into whether they actually got there or not - of course they did. This is a serious question.
OK so not the flag. But what about any of the other (bigger) junk like the take off pad that stayed there after they left

Apollo 11 landed in the Mare Tranquillitatis (Sea of Tranquility) near its southern edge.
The Hubble Space Telescope was recently trained on the Moon for the first time. It can theoretically resolve lunar features down to 85 metres (280 feet) across, which means that although it could never directly observe the lunar module's base section (much less the flag) it could possibly see its shadow near lunar sunrise or sunset.
No Earth-bound telescope could match this feat.
The flag cannot be seen from earth.
However, the Apollo missions left behind several mirrors on the Moon that are used in laser ranging experiments. This is the most conclusive evidence that humans landed on the Moon.
Laser range finders have been used to measure the distance between the Earth and the Moon to precise and exacting detail.

None of the equipment left behind on the moon can be seen from Earth, not even with the Hubble Space Telescope which can't resolve objects smaller than about 150 meters.

The flag on the moon had stiffening wires in it to make it stand out visibly for the photos, filming.
It is far too small to be observed by Earth-bound telescopes.

I never saw the American Flag on the moon. I can see the man in the moon, but not the American Flag.

Sure just watch the videos and pictures. The Chinese are sending their own satellite there very soon. Than you should be able to see what we had left behind. That is if they look for it and share it with us. Maybe we can intercept their messages without them. For those who already know the truth they don't need anymore proof. But, it would be nice to see if it's still there anyway. Some have suggested that we went there because we were invited........OK, whatever.

firstly u have to really find out if men ever step on the moon.i dun realy thnk so. 2ndly, i dun thnk u can see the flag from here. its like u trying to see a bird's eye when its flying 200m above u.see the similiarity.

No you can't. After the falg was planted on the moon it was blown away by the strong winds on the moon, so even if there was a telescope strong enough you wouldn't be able to find it.
