It is a stunning piece of television special effects. There are going to be people out there who know little about the past who will think it is real. I just wish they had a few more greats included such as Jimmy Hendrix and StevieMarriot but the piece is beautiful and Elvis had 'such good taste' to choose a great band. The Sugar Babes are what they are babes and Elvis loved the girls so why not include them because they are moderncelebs and very popular so there is something for everybody young or old.

So this is the ultimate band of all time. Some of the greatest performers on their particular instrument - Keith Moon on drums; Stevie Wonder on piano, etc - but the person they thought was best to complete the fantasy lineup on bass was... Sheryl Crow.
The bass player Radio 2 have chosen to play with the fantasy band of all-time greats, isn't Paul McCartney. It isn't Jack Bruce,, or Jet Harris, or Bootsy Collins. It isn't even Sting. It's Sheryl Crow. She's not really the immediate first choice to be bassist in the ultimate fantasy band, is she? I mean I didn't even know she played bass until this ad came on.
Oh well.

I agree, very clever - I was nearly caught out, as I had had a drink and it was late and I thought just for a minute "hold on this can't be real". I loved the Becks ad. too where the guys dance and I cannot get the music out of my head - wonder what it is? Any idea? (Crafty question here!)

well-its radio 2 but yes its a fantastic advert-looks like the ultimate fantasy band on there-i think they just put the sugababes on there to show how up with the trends they are-there was a question on this recently about your fantasy bands and i must have changed my mind around 10 times before i came up with my selection.
if you dont already do it you should do what the commercial tells you to do and listen to radio 2 every day-its a really good mix of music and steve wright in the afternoon is as funny as always!!-good question compared to the usual banal crap you get on this-well done!!
