I'm 35 weeks pregnant with my first child, so I have lots of questions. This morning when I woke up, I peed and there was a really gross mucous when I wiped. There was still so much coming out. What is this? Should I be worried? Call my doctor?

Nothing to worry about, it's your mucus plug. It may not have been the whole thing though. Around 34 weeks I would lose a little at a time, in the morning, until 36 weeks when it was gone all together according to my doctor. I went into labor 2 weeks later, so it doesn't necessarily mean anything. There's no need to call your doctor but go ahead and do so if it will make you feel better. They will just tell you it's normal and not to worry.

don't be worried.
If you keep bleeding, then yes. Mucus plug (sorry this is gonna sound gross) is like the egg white stuff (for me anyway) when fertile only streaked with blood. If you have a pad in place, then there should just be streaks or even a little blood to accompany it. I lost mine at 35 +5days. didn't have my daughter until a day b4 she was due.
If there is cramping, or LOTS OF BLOOD, then go see your dr. or straight to ER... otherwise, to ease your mind, call your dr.
It is NORMAL to lose your plug weeks b4 birth. Just means your body getting ready. I am guessing that at your last visit or next one, your dr. will likely tell you that you are about 2cm dilated. Losing the plug is ok.
AGAIN... if you're nervous, or scared, please call or see your dr. ok? Hope this helps!!
:o) Good luck!!!

Yes it is your mucous plug.Nothing to really panic about. You may not go into labor for a few weeks. Call your DR to make him aware that it is coming out and go from there. Good luck!!

you probably lost your mucus plug , you'll be fine , i don't even remember losing my plug with my first child but at 35 weeks with my second child i had the same thing happen and i was scared too , you'll be fine. By all means call your doctor. The office will answer all your questions, even those that seem silly. They do this for a living and have heard it all.More than likely you will go into labor anytime now so keep a stop watch handy to time the contractions.

it might be your mucous plug. probably nothing to worry about as long as it was clear mocous. when i lost mine it was just this small chunk of clear(kinda cloudy looking) stuff. if youre worried call your doctor, thats what theyre they for :)
