How do i know if my tiger barb fish is pregnant?

Tiger Barbs are egg layers not live-bearers, so she isn't pregnant. When ready to breed, a female should be introduced to a breeding tank first, followed by the male. The male will start to exhibit 'breeding behavior' (head standing, fin displays). When he is ready to breed, he will force her up against breeding sites (leaves of plants, etc.), and squeeze 2 or 3 eggs out of her. Barbs are 'egg scatterers', so you won't see the 'typical' cleaning or prepping of sites that you would in 'nesting' egg layers.
