Yes, there are microscopic pieces of glass floating in the air when that stuff is being installed or just sitting out in the open. That's why the installers use facial masks when the install insulation. Now if it is Styrofoam, it is not as bad.

If you are doing some kind of remodeling and are exposed to the insulation I would wear a painter's mask to prevent the inhalation of particles. It is not good for your lungs.

i think it's NOT GOOD for anyone to work with it without protection it can cause itchie skin and i belive is hard on your lungs to breath it in i think installers wear a mask.
