you need to know what kind of form factor you will need (AGP,PCI-E or PCI)

After you know that any card of that form factor should work...unless its a cookie cutter box (Dell,HP,IBM,yada yada yada)

If you have a laptop you probably cant upgrade.

If you have a desktop computer it depends on your motherboard. Most computer have extra expansion slots, but not all. And the are different types of slots. If you have an open slot you can add a new grapics card, but you must find out what slot type you have open. Most computers have 2 or 3 (and sometimes more) different type of slots on the motherboard. The Graphic card you buy must be of the same type as the available open slot. The most common types today are PCIexpress, AGP, and PCI. And you may have to change some CMOS settings in order to get the new card to work. Be careful when changing CMOS setting you could get into trouble here. Its best to have a friend there who has experience with this. If you post the brand and model of computer i could look it up and tell you what type of card to buy. But it would be wise to seek some help with the insallation if you have never done it before. Hope this helps you.

Should just be able to plug it straight in. May need to change a BIOS setting or jumper ifi it's old, but it should just work. If it's got an AGP (Advanced Graphics Processor) slot (slightly further forward than the others, then you really should be OK. What's the PC model number? Try doing a web search

You will need to know what type of card will work with your motherboard. Do you have an AGP slot or will you have to go with a PCI graphics card? Take a look at this page http://www.abcd.com.au/v/agp_slot.htm
