ABC * 3 = CCC = C* 111
or ABC = C* 37
C* 7 must end in C
so C= 5
ABC = c*37 = 5*37 = 185
185 *3 = 555
THE NUMBER IS 185

Answer is 185. You can solve this on piece of paper easily as what the other answers have done.
But how do you solve this mentally?
Well, which digit multiplied by itself give number ending with same digit? Since 0 is out, the only digit is 5.
Now obviously only one 3 digit number 555 ends with 5.
Divide 555 by 3 and viola you get the answer 185. Don't need piece of paper to do this :)

It's quite easy. Look at the last digit -- it's the same in both. If CCC isn't zero, there's only one possibility for the last digit, which tells you CCC exactly. Just divide by 3 to get A and B.
