I have a plain ole tracfone, got it for christmas 5 yrs ago. I like this because I have had no bills or charges of surprises. I can go online to tracfone.com & buy minutes. I only use this when away from my land (home) line. On line, you create a quick profile acct, all it consists of is a user name & password. Once this is done I can see the promotions (deals for minutes) and always get extra minutes & options. I always buy a $129.00 card, 400 minutes and 200 extra minutes. This does me for over a year of service. The last time I bought a card (June '06) I got a total of 600 minutes and the option to spend another $10 & get another 100 minutes or my service not to expire for a yr. As of now I still have 497 minutes & service until Sept '07. If you let your minutes expire you have to get a new #.My husband has Verizon, a great service also but- we were in a remote area of N.C. and he had no service. I turned on my phone & he made his calls. My neice is in nuclear medicine & travels lots & her phone is a tracfone,so I know the service is very reliable beyond what my needs may be.

T Mobile seem to be a proficient and reliable company.

I've been using them for 8 years in the UK, and for 'roaming' in Europe and North America. So far I've had no trouble at all.

The company's call plans seem to cover most requirements, too.

NB It might be important to you to know that when I no longer had the need for a monthly contract arrangement, T Mobile allowed me to retain my number and change to Pay As You Go.

I just switched over to Cingular...as of Monday. I have had Sprint/Nextel for many years now, and am tired of the "No Service" and dropped calls, it was taking forever to get my messages, and the billing...no thank you, At least with Cingular, the bill comes on my Home telephone bill, and I get a discount!

I can't remember what provider it is, but one lets you choose any ten lines from any company for you to talk to for free...I think it may be altell. Once I find it, I will let you know. What a good deal though, since all my friends are on different networks.

the reply would matter upon the service's coverage on your section. I were with 3 vendors contained in the superb 18 years, and they are about an identical, inspite of the reality that i'd supply an area to AT&T (in the previous Cingular). i'd examine with human beings on your section, and be conscious what the comments is. you could also flow to the vendors' shops and be conscious their coverage map. sturdy success!

Try each one, because they all have pay as you go phones. So you can try each one for minimum money output. And keep the one that works best for you in the area you use the phone. Try it you'll like it.

MetroPCS because you only pay by the month and it's only 45$ for caller id, unlimeted text messaging, long lasting calls, long distant calls and more.
