I have read mostly british chick lit books, are there any good american chick lit authors?

1.Kung Foo and Coffee by Karen Brichoux (great book)
2.The Bachelorette Party by Karen McCullah Lutz (loved it)
3.The Perfect Manahattan by Leanne Shear & Tracey Toomey (fun book)
~Those are just a few titles. I, too, am a fan of the british authors.
Getting over it by Anna Maxted was one of my favorite books and I like Jane Moore too. Jane Greene is one of my all time favorite authors for chic lit.

Janet Evanovich, the Stephanie Plum series. They're in numerical order, start with One For the Money, BUT read the second one as well, Two For the Dough (I think it is) before you decide you don't like her. They get better and better, at least until 7 or 8.

Danielle Steele..fast reading ....good plots...some of her books became movies.
