The inherent tendencies of the mosquito that probably it acquired from the tedencies caused its origin and intensity of its desire to get back to THAT best origin through better origins, probably makes it get attracted to the Light.

The mosquitoes hear a voice inside their heads that says "Head towards the light!"

They're actually attracted to heat from the light. That's how they find humans and animals to bite.

I think mosquitos are attracted by scent such as hairspray, perfume. persperation, etc

They must be afraid of the dark. Either that or its just instincts for them.
