Did the computer play the games reliably before? If so, did you do anything that may have caused the problem? (Did you install some software?) If so, you want to roll back the changes if possible. Newer Windows(TM) products will handle this automatically if you have the setting turned on. Otherwise, just go to Control Panel and remove anything you don't need that might be new. Sounds like you already tried removing excess software though. If this doesn't work, consider your internet security... run spyware/adware/virus removers. Get them for free at download.com or somewhere. Just pick the one with highest user/editor ratings. If you can't successfully download, have someone else download it and put it on a jump drive or burn a CD. Run a full sweep. No luck? Try Windows(TM) Update. Update your Windows(TM) installation. Then go update your video card drivers, sound card drivers, and maybe your DirectX. If this doesn't work, back up everything you can't replace onto something safe and download a program called "hijackThis"... run it and start carefully removing everything your computer runs at startup. You can google things to find out if they are crucial to Windows(TM). You might end up killing your installation if you are not careful with hijackThis. It's just as well, though, because the next least invasive move is to do a full reinstall of your Windows(tm). Hopefully you still have your disks because last time I lost mine I had to send like $20 in to get a new copy. Funny, AOL used to send me copies of AOL for free. I didn't even hafta ask for them.
If, after reinstalling your Windows(TM) product, you still have trouble running games, I guess you could try cleaning the inside of the computer and the fans with a can of pressurized air. You could be overheating. If the computer never could run those games, then try adding RAM. That's a whole 'nuther Yahoo(R) Answers, though.

You either have a poor power supply or the heat-sink on the processor is incorrectly seated.
Any process that is processor intensive requires more power. Graphics cards also require lots of power.
Running a complete AVS scan will probably also make the computer crash.
If you have a a deskfan, remove the cover from the computer and force air into the case, play the games that cause the machine to crash. If the game plays with no crashes or plays longer before crashing then it could be the supply.
Finally, an internal fan could have failed.

Depends what the game is, and the spec of the PC. Deleting files clears hard drive space, not memory. Try searching the web for "name of game" and "crash" and anything else useful, like the level it's crashing on.

1. Sounds like you need more RAM memory, not hard drive memory.
2. Get you computer fully checked out on line at some place like www.symantic.com.
3. Check your computer to see if the RAM Cards are properly set in the computer.
4. Check your video graphics card to ensure it is properly set in the computer and working correctly.
5. If you have it run a complete computer test on your computer to check that all equipment is running normally. This should test everything from video to speakers to memory etc.
Good Luck

Before you go crazy following all the steps listed, try cleaning the CPU first. Get a can of compressed air, open the CPU and blow it out.
If that doesn't work then try virus scanning and freeing space.
My computer was doing the same thing (even with offline games) I cleaned it out and it has been running perfectly.Mine was just overheating.
Good Luck!

Plenty of memory on the harddrive, but how about ram memory. You need ram not cleared harddrive.
You might also consider doing a full reinstall. Format the harddisk and then reinstall everything to the computer.

I easily have been working as a pc tech, and to me, It sounds like heating matters, examine the CPU Temperature to be certain despite if it quite is getting too warm. generally whilst a working laptop or laptop randomly crashes it gets too warm, and turns off to cool down.
