Yes, I read it and liked it. Paul Coelho is known for making you think about what he writes. And his topics can apply to our life as well. In this book, if I remember it right, there's this girl and she leaves Brazil to go to Europe to become rich. There she becomes a prostitute thinking that it would be a very easy way of making money and that she will be able to stop whenever she wanted to. But the desire of making more and more money and also of having a life with no commitment makes her do the job of a prostitute for a lot longer time than she expected. She eventually falls in love with one of her patrons and ends up being with him at the end of the book. It can seem just a story but it tells you more that that. It tells you how she feels and how sex is just eleven minutes of pleasure that could mean the whole world to someone or nothing. It was during those tens of eleven minutes that this girl discovers who she is and what she wants to do in her life. She learns about herself and about others and understands what's important in life. I liked this book because it gave me insights into my own life. At a first look the book can seem just a story with a lot of descriptive sex scenes but at a closer look there are a lot of things that can be learned from it. I would suggest that you'll read it trying to see the hidden meanings and the torment that goes on into this girl's soul. It's a good book!
