Steve Irwin was a great person, and the world has suffered a great loss. It's unfortunate what happened. Steve did say that when he died that he wanted it to be taped. It was taped. I think it would be really cool to see his last contribution. It's unfortunate though that we wont get to see him say Cricky one last time.

yeah I would love for my death to be played. In fact I'll have to put it in my will that it my death is caught on tape that it should be made available to the public. If Steve would of done that then there wouldn't be a debate over his wishes.

The accident was taped as part of the story being taped for Irwin's daughter Bindi''s tv show. However, at this stage, the footage will not be shown - a friend of Irwin and also staff member at Australia Zoo (the name escapes me - it's the bloke who did all the media stuff when it happened - the same guy who had to tell Terri that Steve Irwin was dead), says he'll die before it's released.
I think however that the story is going ahead but with the accident left out of it.

If you like him so much, why do you want to see him in pain and dying? And I honestly believe he was only joking (he had a great sense of humour) when he said that thing several years ago about wanting his death to be filmed. His wife Terri, said that he truly never thought an animal would cause his death, he truly never thought a scenario like that would unfold one day. He was afraid he would die in a car accident, the way his mother died. So if you truly admire him, you would be much more respectful and not want to watch such a great person in his last moments.

How dare you!! Terri has said that the tape will NEVER see the light of day. How dare you s***t all over his family, especially over Bindi and Robert. How would you like it if one of your parents death was televised for all to see. Dying, like birth, is a VERY personal thing. You make me sick. Show some respect you little creep.

I think the sting ray bought up the rights, they bought the rights because it was an accident and they do not want sick morbid humans checking it out.

I think that it is unfortunate that you feel that way.
His wife is suffering enough without having that televised all over the world.
Have a heart and understand the families feelings.

I don't think it would be "cool" to watch a fellow human being die.You sound like you are twelve years old.He never said he wanted his death shown to the entire world.Did he tell you that personally? His death is not his last contribution.Sheesh...the mentality of people never ceases to amaze me.

Why do people obsess with seeing someone die?
Would you want your gruesome, traumatic death to be played on every media outlet ad nauseaum so that people can debate and ponder and criticize?
Shame on you.
