Yes. Just because it's been demoted to "dwarf planet" status doesn't mean it's no longer part of our solar system. I mean, if the Dominican Republic decided to attack Puerto Rico in retaliation for the U.S. taking away their most talented baseball players, I'm sure the U.S. would defend it just as vigorously as they would if they attacked one of the 50 states.

no. pluto is no longer a member of the united federation of planets. the federation won't protect!
