Don't drink soda, or any hot liquids besides just hot water. If you want your voice at its best, avoid carbonation, and juice. Strictly water, basically. If you aren't feeling well, hot chocolate made with milk or a glass of orange juice without pulp or tea are all good things.

I went to a camp with singers, and literally all of them avoided carbonation at all costs. One of them was this incredible singer who I swear will end up extremely famous... I just picked this stuff up from them.
