You need a licence to drive a car
You need a licence to catch a fish or shoot a deer
You even need a licence to sell insurance
Y then are people free to procreate indicriminately. I know that this is America but I know that you 2 have seen alot of people that have no business having children. There are enough screwed up kids in the world whose parents do not seem to care where they are or what they are doing.

absolutely! If one can't pay for them,{with their own money, not ours}, take care of them and not bring them up to be a bunch of criminals, they should not have them.

As a previous fooster parent I agree with you 100%. I'm not sure about a license, but I have always felt that some of these parents that have abused and neglected their children should be forced to take birth control or have an operation that makes that incapable of having more children. So many times I have seen parents lose their children because of abuse and neglect, and a year later they have a new one. I have seen some terrible cases of abuse, to the point where the parents have lost all rights to their children. A few years down the road they are right back in the same situation. A simple procedure would have prevented that. The worst part is they lose their kids, don't really care, and are never held accountable for their actions. Sad. Than people wonder why we have so many screwed up children in this world. The other sad part is some of these children are returned back into that situation until they can gain better evidence. So they go from unstable to stable back to unstable. Sometimes the stable isn't good either. There are some terrible foster homes out there. I quit foster care because I could not deal with the emotional aspect of letting these kids go back to these abusive homes, and the lack of concern by the state and people that are supposed to be protecting them. It is truly a sad world for our children.

Finally someone else has said it! Yes I believe people should have a liscence to have kids.Raising children will be the most important job anyone ever does and yet I see so much neglect and abusive situations children live with.Does anyone realize these kids are going to grow up with problems?And than we expect them to run our country,thats good. Children do remember a little thing people and parents seem to forget.

Absolutely. Unfortunately though, you need a licence to be a foster carer and 50% of them shouldn't have a licence to look after children.

Excellent question.....I've asking that one for along time.......Another example of why societies priorities are so screwed up....Think about it, we give 50 million dollars to a baseball player, but only minimum wage to a guy who breaks his butt for a living..Then on top of it, he has to pay for his own medical insurance...Definitly, there should be a licensing law in place.Just maybe the child abuse will be brought to a minimum....
