Can you think of any words that are considered antiquated, but are still being used today?....a friend of mine actually used the word vexed, because someone had pi$$ed her off......really though can you even think of anymore, and the more odd the word, you can earn yourself 10 points.

My nanna still uses the word queer to describe things that are wierd. No matter how many times I tell her that it is incorrect, she still uses it.

That reminded me of an episode of "Night Court" wherein two ladies were screaming invectives at each other........some of the words I had not heard in many many years like "strumpet, harlot, quean, and wench..........of course, Bull had to thing of some other words from the B***ch family that weren't use.

Once, when I was five my aunt was taking me to the pool when she scowled a couple of other kids, turn and walked away, leaving em to flap in the wind behind her! "Damned pickaninnies
was all I heard her say under her breath..

You can only imagine the expression of my mother's face when I had to ask her to explain the meaning of that word to me, LOL

I thought it was obsolete. Is that how Americans spell it?

I like to refer to fat people as rotund. It sounds snobbish.
