I lost my best friend, due to a big argument that we had last week. I'm a female and he's a male, and we've been really close for a year now. We've gotten into several arguments and said that we'd just call off the friendship(so childish), but after a couple of days, we'd be back together again. But, not this time. After we got off the phone, he sent me a text message that said to leave him alone. I love him to death and there's nothing that I wouldn't do for him. It's been a week and 2 days today. We've seen eachother out in public twice, and didn't even speak. I thought we were making progress because on Tuesday he sent a text asking how I was doing, but, he never responded when I wrote back and asked how he was. I even sent him a heart felt e-mail on Sunday. What steps can I take to get this stubborn friend of mine back. Life seems so hard without him, because I'm use to him being around 24/7. Do you think that he's really gone, or is it just something that needs time?

Sorry goes a long way. Text him and tell him that the friendship is worth more than the silly fight and that you miss his friendship.

Your question brings back memories about a guy friend I used to have. We were friends for years, probably from 17-25. (im 30 now)and we were like that. It was strange, we loved eachother, and youd could always be seen with eachother, but everynow and then wed get into an argument or hed be jeolous about another guy or Id go out partying and do something stupid. I know that if you give him a little bit more time he'll come around. What were yall fighting about? He may think of you more than a friend, and maybe he feels he has to protect you. If he's not answering your emails, calls, etc. just wait. When it came to me and ? , if I was wrong or not, I would always apologize or whatever just to have him close to me. He'll come around. He misses you too. If he's not acting like he does, dont believe that. he has a heart and feelings too. you'll see

Send him a card in the mail saying you are sorry and include in it that life is harder to live without his friendship. Let him know that his friendship is special to you and in future think 10 minutes before saying anything that may hurt....and then do not say it.

usually just saying you're sorry and you don't wanna lose them works . Friends are forever . Well true friends
