because it a really big "white"thing in the sky at night surrounded by the "black" sky white will always draw your attention when overwhelmed by black the opposite colors

The moon appears to be white when it is high in the sky. When it rises, it sometimes appears to be yellow. The moon reflects the light from the sun. Thus, it contains the spectrum of sunlight. However, the moon actually shows patches of grey and dark places where the light is absorbed by the soil. I guess it's attractive because it makes it easier to see at night on cloudless skies.

Because The background of the moon it is sky becomes dark in the night. The difference between darkness & nlightness of sky & moon is greter than the same in the day. So we cant see farfectly moon in the day. But in the night we cannot see other bigger form as big as moon beacase of thet resson moon is attractive

Long answer: The moon does not shine by itself, it only reflect the sun's rays. We are so far away that we can't see the bumpy surface of the moon, that's why it's so smooth.

its not white dear.shines in night.it donot 've its own light.it look shining in the presence of other shining stars
