I have checked all the fuses and they appear to be fine. I have changed the brake light switch (on top of the brake pedal) and the brake lights still do not work. The bulbs work when swapped around in the other sockets so I know they aren't burnt. Any suggestions as to what else may be wrong?

i do have a third light up on the top of the back window. I rechecked all fuses and all are fine. I didn't find any broken wires by the rear bumper or anywhere else throughout the wiring haress or the trailer hitch wiring attachments.

check the fuses again, then look for a broken wire in the back by the bumper, it could be the turn signal switch too

I would look for Damaged wires around the Bumper, this what happened on mine, it was a broke wire. Also use a Test Light and see if Power comes to where it plug into the Light Assembly. Another one on mine the power was there, but, the Light Assembly had become Corroded, cleaned it with some Electrical Cleaner and it has worked ever since.

i own a repair shop,,check and see if the wiring in the back looks ok Chevy's that have trailer hitches on them sometimes stop working because the light harness wasn't put together right or not taped to keep dirt and water out of it this causes it not to work because of a shorted connection its usually something minor on them that knocks the lights out, good luck with it,i hope this help,s.

yep you got the typical chevy truck problem. alot of them have that issue. try cleaning up your ground wire conections around the back off the truck and then see what happens.

return to the region the place to procure your brakes replaced, and tell them that the brake mild has not come on considering they labored on it. they are going to look once you, freed from value too.
