Political science majors learn about political theory such as Marx and Plato, how other countries rule such as parliamentary systems or federalist states, and different policy issues to include environment and economics. Most who are political science majors use it as a pre-law major.
In the end political science is a liberal arts major which has a lot of influence from economics, English, and social sciences.

But they also learn how government works, the Constitution, the workings of PAC's, and all the rest.
