why did he break up with u in the first place? if the initial reason why u guys broke up is still there, there's no point getting back together.
but if u still like him and want to give it another try, u might as well get back with him, otherwise u'll always be asking "what if". just be more careful in giving him your whole heart this time.

He didn't think you were good enough the first time so he broke up with you. What makes you think he is going to be different this time? You already know he can't be trusted.

1st-do have feelings for him?follow your heart.
i think he just brokeup with you and then realize you the bestperson for him-anyway play it had.
