camshafts don't typically wear out....If yours is in need of replacing, then you should SERIOUSLY re-examine your driving techniques.

Not miles wear.
If the lobes are worn change it.
If crap oil has been used or the oil not changed often enough the cam lobes and bearings will wear, this wrecks the performance. so take the lid off and look. serious wear should be obvious but sometimes all the lobes wear evenly and disguise this so if in doubt check it against a new cam.
If you have a body kit, wide wheels, lowered ride height and big boring exhaust, as long as it manages 30 leave it alone, you can accelerate noisily for longer when its down on power, give it 3 degrees Negative camber and 40psi in the tyres and it will spin the wheels as well. Thats what the lads round here seem to do.

It should still be good. You need to look at it to see if it is worn, the lobes will be rounded over. If you do that then you should also replace the lifters. The only time I ever do this is when I am overhauling something.

i own a repair shop,,and the cam should be good in it for a long time ,unless it rattles and makes a lot of lifter noise,i wouldn't change it,,a bad cam will also make one miss and loose power, the belt needs changed every 50-60 thousand miles on it,,good luck i hope this helps.

It would be sensible to change your cam belt not your camshaft at 100,000 miles on a corsa its not worth it.The belt should have been changed at 40,000miles.Regards mick.

I do not know much about car maintenance but I suspect that a workshop manual for your vehicle would provide the answer.

If you mean the cambelt, it needs doing now. Usually every 60-80,000 miles but if you do it now it will be easier than if it breaks.
