I've suffered for years now! It's even affecting my social life as it can be really embarrassing - somedays it's so loud. I've tried cutting out dairy products, but it didn't work. Any ideas???

Depends on the cause. Is it rumbling when it is empty or full? Could be that it is objsecting to something that you are wating, like the dairy products, or gas producing vegetables (try Beano), or it could be a nervous condition that causes excess peristalsis (movement of the digestive system). First you have to keep track of when it happens and what seems to cause it to be able to know how to stop it.

YOUR STOMACH IS RUMBLING BECAUSE IT WANTS FOOD!!!!!!!!!!! THE REASON FOR THE RUMBLING IS THE STOMACH ACIDS ARE WORKING AND THEY HAVE NO FOOD TO WORK ON.

ONE QUICK RELIEF IS TO TAKE AN ANTACID. THIS IS AN OLD TRICK THAT WORKS - BUT PLEASE DON'T MAKE A HABIT OF IT. THE ANTACID WORKS ON THE ACID THAT THE FOOD "WANTS" TO WORK ON. ANY ANTACID WILL DO. CUTTING OUT DAIRY PRODUCTS WON'T DO A THING.

GOOD LUCK!! BARBARA.
