Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Do no harm.
If you must cause pain, do not take pleasure in it, and do it only to prevent greater pain.
Never let anyone hold the power of life and death over you.
Forgive but never forget.
Those who do not heed history's warnings are doomed to repeat the mistakes.

Enjoy what is made available to you. Do not dwell on what has been taken away.

1. There are only two kinds of freedom in the world; the freedom of the rich and powerful, and the freedom of the artist and the monk who renounces possessions.
2. We are like sculptors, constantly carving out of others the image we long for, need, love or desire, often against reality, against their benefit, and always, in the end, a disappointment, because it does not fit them.
3. We don't see things as they are, we see things as we are.
4. Reality doesn't impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another. No more walls.

All of the above were quoted by Anais Nin.

3 things:

1) Be kind to others; it's free, and it doesn't hurt you or anybody else!
2) Be PRACTICAL; theories are all very fine, but what use are they if they can't be put to good use?
3) Be GENEROUS; what you give out WILL come back ten-fold (even if it takes some time)!
