I would have posted this question in the Religion and Spirituality category but everytime you mention the words Muslims or Islam in that section you get a whole load of abuse.Besides that, they would have told me to post the question in the football section since he is a footballer.
I am not trying to fan the flames of hatred or anything like that at all.
I am just curious so please try to answer my question without hurling insults at anyone.

Thank you.

Zidane said he is a non-practicing Muslim. His family is from Algeria, a mostly Muslim dominated country, and that obviously made his parents Muslim. Although he was born into a Muslim family, he decided not to practice the religion. So all those people that say he's a terrorist because he's Muslim need to read more about him.

Nope. He was just born into Islam, he's not a practising Muslim. Just like there are many people born into Christianity that are not practising Christians. So they may believe in God, but not have a religion. This is called secular or non-religious.

I don't really know if he's a Muslim or non practice..but I just wanted to comment on some of the answers here. This question was not insulting to anyone, just a simple question to know what religion a soccer player is, there is nothing wrong with it, but some people don't really know the meaning of insulting others and one is ngrl06...people should think before speaking.
There are people in this forum that truly insult others and get away with it and yet the innocent always get insulted...This is really sad but true!!
