If the history of the time that Jesus lived in is studied then it is pretty difficult to imagine him unmarried because of the accepted traditions surrounding a jewish mans existence at the time. It was a parents important job to ensure their son found a suitable mate from a respectable jewish family. Even if Jesus found another path to follow he would have been an obedient son and obeyed his parents. I personally think it is more than likely but many millions of people are incredibly threatened by this possibility because of what it might mean for everything they have based their belief system on. It challenges the very fabric of their existence and therefore this possibility must be ignored and unaccepted totally. People are very afraid to face that they might be wrong. I personally couldn't really be bothered about it. I just like to know the truth of it all. Whether he had a wife or not and I am here to say that it is looking more and more like he did, will have no impact on my life or belief system.

Jesus' bride is the church. not any church, but His Church. The bible states that even as the husband is the head of the wife so Christ is the head of the church. He is spiritually married to His church. There has been no woman on earth that has been his bride, and contrary to a former answer, you did not have to be a father to teach in those days, the apostle Paul never was married and state that he wished all men were as he was,and that it was good if a man never touched a woman, However it is better to marry than to burn in lust for one another.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that you heard this in a certain novel by the name of the DaVinci Code. Well, that book is fiction which means that not everything in it is true. The idea that Jesus was married being one of the false things. I suggest you read the Gospels in the Bible for the real story of Jesus. I hope I've been of some guidance and I hope you find the real story much more interesting than the fictional one. God bless!

What, you referring to the Da Vinci Code? Stupid book, but in fact historically it's likely that if the man who came to be mythologized as "Jesus Christ" ever actually existed, which is by no means certain, he would've been married as a matter of course. It would've been unusual in the extreme for a rabbi, a teacher of the status he's assigned in the gospels, to remain unmarried. And since Mary Magdalene seems to have an especially close relationship with Jesus, it's only natural that she's been considered a likely candidate for his wife. All specific reference to the marriage would've been edited out as the christian religion developed and became dogmatized and increasingly sex-negative.

I'll assume that you mean "was" Jesus Christ really married. And yes, I think he must have been. In order for a man to be alowed to teach in those times he had to be married and be a Father. That was the law in those days. They called him "Teacher" and the Bible talks about him teaching children. Him being married is the only thing that makes sense. He would have followed the law of his people.

What difference it makes? Do not go into his personal life too much.Instead think about his greatness, his sacrifice, his unconditional love for everybody including his killers. For his killers he has no bitterness but compassion and asked God for the forgiveness. It is not easy. During Jesus time many others were born then why after 2000 years we still remember him?The preaching and sumons written in the scriptures reflect interpretation by the words. These words has limitation.Try to understand his heart and what he meant what he said.
