A parenting magazine had an article about these types of sites earlier this year. (I can't remember which parenting magazine because I read several--it may have been Parents but I'm not sure). They said these sites usually mainly sign ou up for other legitimate paid survey sites which you can access free on your own elsewhere. They writer found that even not considering that, the surveys she qualified to take barely paid for the cost of the membership.

There are legitimate survey sites out there, and you can sign up for them for free and make a little money (emphasis on LITTLE...I make about $20 a month...but that's just for a few hours work so its not bad. Its "possible" to make more, but not probable, because you won't qualify for all paid surveys, and the higher paid surveys fill up quick.

I've listed some of the sites I have taken surveys through and actually been paid (or recieved other rewards like gift cards or CDS) on the following, if you are interested:

http://www.windhavenweb.com/surveys

I list how they pay you, what I like and dislike about them, whether they have an affiliate or referral program, etc.

There are others out there. Be careful though, there are also scams. Don't sign up for any survey site which asks you to pay to access the surveys. Also watch for language like "get paid for taking surveys AND SIGNING UP FOR OFFERS" if you don't want to have to sign up for stuff with other companies to get paid.

Always carefully read their terms of service and privacy policy. If in their privacy policy they say they only use aggregated info, this is GOOD SIGN they are legit. Aggregated info information that is grouped together so it can't be connected with anyones personal identification like name, e-mail, phone or address. That's what survey sites SHOULD collect. Watch out for sites that say they give, rent, or sell any personal information (info that is not agregated) to third parties.

Also just recently came across a good survey ratings site that I've found very helpful:

The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.

Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

I check that site out, but it's a site that is referring to other survey site. Don't waste your time, just go directly to actual site that is paying you for taking survey. Here is the found to be the best: http://www.fusioncash.net/?ref=morgannigel11. Check them out
