Philosophy's purity made simple is great. Gets off all your makeup, even waterproof mascara, but, it's gentle, and doesn't dry or irritate your skin. Kinda pricey, but, well, well worth it, since a little goes a long way.

Hi i find it hard to find any face wash that doesnt irritate my skin as i have sensitive skin, But at the moment i have been using Neutrogena 2 in 1 wash and mask and i have been using it morning and night for about three days and there is no sign of irritation and it gets rid of blemished and spots left by other brands of face wash. My spots have nearly all gone thanks to this stuff. Also in superdrug theres an offer on the new Neutrogena cleansing pads which are good also. Just expensive when they are not on offer.

I like Cetaphil. It's mild and seems to keep acne away better than anything else I've tried.

here's what the website says:

Ideal for Your Acne Patients
The Science of Cetaphil®

Cetaphil® Daily Facial Cleanser:

* Gently removes surface oils, bacteria, dirt and makeup without leaving skin tight or overly dry
* Doesn’t leave behind any irritating residue and it’s non-comedogenic
* Specially formulated for normal, oily and combination skin types

My dermatologist recommends anything from the Neutrogena Healthy Skin line. I use the Gentle Cleanser at night and the Visibly Even Scrub (i think thats what its called) in the morning.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Scrub :-)
It exfoliates, fights blemishes, and helps to prevent fine lines. I love the stuff, and I use the entire line of the Healthy Skin products. It's not expensive, and I still get all the ingredients and benefits of the department stores brands.

I've tried everything you can get from supermarkets and pharmacies, none of it worked for me. I went to a day spa recently and had my first facial and they said all the 'over the counter' stuff was full of chemials and stuff that wasn't good for your skin. They gave me MD Solutions facial cleanser and it is wonderful!! It exfoliates, but isn't abrasive. It isn't drying, and my face doesn't get as oily as it used to. My breakouts are almost gone too!
