A report says less safe

Bush says that feeds the terrorist propaganda and America is more safe.

There is an attack on "coiltition forces ever 15 miutes in Iraq" CNN reports seemingly reluctantly

America's armed forces have delivered 2,000 tons of Depleted Uranium (DU)

America says it is not harmful other say it is directly responsible for massively distorting birth defects

The UN says DU is a chemical weapon the US says it is not .

So is America safer now that the US invaded Iraq or not?

The Bush administration's 'war on terrorism' has only served to escalate the safety and security of the nation - and the world. If you're a schoolyard bully, or a neighborhood ghetto gang, the only thing that can come of it is that others will use whatever means necessary to defend themselves against you. That means they'll become bullies themselves or form rival gangs.
There's only one way to stop a bully or end violence: initiate peaceful solutions to joint problems.
Bush and his war-mongering maniacs don't understand that simple mentality (which is ironic since they claim to be such Christians). Jesus Christ was the epitome of love and peace; too bad our leaders can't follow in His footsteps. The Dali Lama is a modern-day example of peace at any cost; too bad our government believes in war at any cost.
If our government expended as much money and resource on peace initiatives as it does on war and violence, the world would be a better place. But, all we Americans do is watch TV and movies filled with murder, rape, robbery, and plundering. It's no wonder we're such a violent nation.
"Homeland Security" is just another Nazi-style government invasion of our privacies and freedoms. It is impotent when it comes to making America safe; in fact, all it does it serve to heighten the tension among the citizenry. Given enough time, Homeland Security will initiate programs where American citizens spy on other American citizens (just as the Nazis did). The Bush administration is about to go down in flames. -RKO-

First a partial report says less safe? any thing can be edited or manipulated to try to weigh the election to one side or the other.....you'll see more of that in the coming weeks, because the election will be very close but the democrats wont get enough to take back the house and/or senate.....honestly, I think america physically is safer from terrorism because we are not their target at present, they are busy sending insurgeants and extremist(mercenaries) into Iraq to worry about doing something here, you cant completely wipe out a cancer without fear it can come back. America was not use to living as the israelis do, under the believe that today might be their last. We have become "fat and lazy" in our own personal security. I think the republicans strong point is this, the extremists do fear the republican party, (thats why they are praying to their version of allah for the democrats to win), it will open up the doorways to disaster...The democrats have proven that they are easily manipulated by the international community which in reality just bides them more time to plan and create more havoc. Yes, the republicans weak points arent just the republicans weak point but all the administrations because we have not become a utopia, have we.....Yes, the economy is doing better, the gas prices are lowering, job market is looking healthier....but these are things people say are just because of elections coming up, well, to tell you the truth I dont care, gas is still cheaper than it was several months ago, my job is still going well, my family is happy with food constantly on the table, most americans look at today, not for living for tomorrow.......The main issue will be social security because that is starting to effect people in the now.......have a great weekend, and I apoplogize for the rant....

Many new books are saying we have fostered more terrorism .
Could they paint an accurate picture of the problem or are they more left wing terrorist sympathizers as many are called who want our troops home today .
Cut and run does not mean abandon the Iraq people but rather pull back to a safe position .Wait for the fighting among the Iraq people to subside and then assist if asked in the reshaping and building of a strong democracy .
New Orleans is hesitant to rebuild in the fllooded out areas because the problem exists in the future for more flooding and a waste of resources .
So what is different about Iraq .
Should We stay and assist one side in winning the civil war .Should we be there at all .Should we bring our tiered and battered troops home .
We need to be thinking about ways to withdraw from the region without looking like we do not care what happens .

Definitely more safe. What a glorious way for a jihadist to die...during the American occupation of Iraq. They will be flocking to Iraq to kill Shiites until the end of time. Then Persians and Shiites will fight the Sunnis. The Jews will get involved. It is a glorious time to be a jihadist. The entire Middle East will be a battleground. We already know that 9/11 made the entire world a battleground 24/7...but let's be honest it always was...nobody thought about it though.

I think it depends on your belief system that considers the future aggression of Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and others nearby. If yu look at the map, and believe the Iranian rhetoric of promised annihilation, it would seem insightful to position a force for the future.

I'm sincere when I ask, "have you ever played risk" the board game. It never fails that those with the broadest reach and key positions, will have the advantage over others.

For this reason, I think we are safer, but it may take a generation or two to prove it out.

Probably about the same, although Al Qaeda has reported that they've lost 4,000 (terrorists) in Iraq.
9/11 occured BEFORE Iraq.
Repeating Terrorist Propaganda and Lies certainly isn't help the USA, and the free world.

Hell, NO! Can't that incompetent fool see what he did? Bush's idea of invading and occupying Iraq was a disaster from the very beginning. And the end result: the USA is far more vulnerable to a threat of another terror attack or the actual attack itself! It's his incompetence that's caused this mess he made!

It should be obvious to a duck all my American Sheeple friends..
Bush calls it a "Crusade" Rumsfeld coins the term "Islamo-Fascism" and then we invade and occupy a Muslim country behind the auspices of a war on terror...
Think you are safer now ? Don't believe it..
IN my humble opinion this entire effort is designed specifically for the purpose of inciting and propagating religious hostility between Islam and the western world...
clearly we are less safe as a result..
Think I'm a liberal wing nut .. google the statistics for terrorism in the last 3 years....it's gone up around the globe !

America is safer.
You people that think terrorism is worse than before Iraq.......your kidding right?
I mean you must be...either that or you just learned a new word.
The people of the middle east have been terrorizing each other for centuries.
The tactics they use are now spreading across the globe,9/11,London,China.
You people act like it's a new thing.

Of course it is not AS safe, but it was never truly safe in the first place. It was just a matter of time and the US is forcing the terrorists hand.If you corner a criminal you are looking for a fight but is it better to just let the criminal go on his way to do as he pleases or is if the best to deal with the piece of sht?
