You have to consider the people answering the questions.. Other factors like the day, and time of day also influence answers..There is also the fact, that it is just fun somtimes to goof around, I am as guilty as the next guy. but I also have my moments and average an 5-8% best answer ratio... Go ahead ask a serious one, I have some time before I get ready for Farm Aid tonight....Neil Young is gonna raise the roof..

I wouldn't say most people are interested in answering stupid questions, because I answer both stupid and serious ones and alot of other people do, too. However, my opinion is that some people get on here to escape their own serious problems or the seriousness of their lives and enjoy the comic relief some of the stupid questions offer.

perhaps it could be due to the fact that stupid questions do get a lot of responses because people are bothered to answer and give inane answers and as for the serious ones, either people know something about it or not. plus it also depends on how people phrase their questions. if someone cannot read and understand what it is they are writing, then they're going to give whatever answer it is, even if it is irrelevant and stupid.

I cant speak for everyone but for me if i can answer a question wheather it be a stupid question to others (maybe the person asking doesnt think its a stupid question?) I will answer it if i can. But if its an obvious stupid question that anyone in their right mind should know i wont bother to answer it cause all they are looking for is attention.

I like your question, but is your spelling of the word "response" a bit of a Freudian slip or simply a typo?
Apart from that, serious questions are always difficult to answer (except stupidly or by the 'wiki' brigade) so tend to get less answers than the more frivolous (stupid) ones which are answered by those whose I.Q. tends to match their age.

It could be that a lot of people on here don't have any answers for serious questions. I hope this helps.
