Gets you branded as a racist. You know that white people and Black people and Asian people and among other races.. We are all different . Why do we nail everyone with a racist label for pointing that out . I mean just because I notice different body shapes and features between races doesn't mean I think those other races are less then my own.. It just means different, meaning not the same.. I think we have created a society where we are afraid to even mention the obvious.. Where do you stand??

I thank you all for your answers and to everyone I'm glad you were able to look at this question for what it was. With the exception of one person everyone answered in a pretty mature manor.. The one person knows who he is and his response was not worth 10 points. I hope you all don't reward him for it .
The fact is we are different and due to some body structure differences I believe some, may be suited better for different tasks or have more ability in some areas then others.. But in no way do I feel that makes any race more Superior then another. We all have our strong points.

Anyway I asked the question because I feel it doesn't make me a racist because I have made these observations Others may feel it does.

I do agree with you somewhat.

If someone says that white people have pale skin for the most part...it's an obvious fact.

What I don't agree with, is someone who is saying things like all asians work in nail parlors.

The world is what it is. While it would be great if we could have racial unity do not count on it any time soon. I think that we all share some level of racisim. It depends I guess on your upbringing. I completely agree that any racial difference that is pointed out does seem to get you branded. I guess also it depends upon the context in which these differences are pointed out. The bottom line is that I do not believe that any race is inferior to another. Just different. I was brought up by pedudicial parents and I of course have learned some that. However I do my best to control those thoughts and give people the chance to be judged on the person that they are. While some do people tend to allow themselves to be controled by their preconceptions I would consider these to be the weak of mind.

I believe it all has to do with the way the question or statement is made. It is quite obvious when someone is being racists and taunting other people. And to be filling up the space with ignorant racist comments or insightful questions is just not ok. Of course we all realize that there are differences between cultures, ethnicity, and races. That is what makes the world a wonderful place. I guess the simplest way to say it is "it is not what you say but how you say it" And if it is not in you it wont come out. And if you are a bigot, racist, or prejudice, your attitude 99% of the time will come out in your question. And anyone who does not have those biases will be offended. We live in a society that is very diverse and non tolerable of racial ignorance, I say Amen to that. It is about time.

Differences are wonderful, but racism is still alive and well. Don't forget that many people have experienced those differences as weapons of injury. When one has been injured that way, it can make him/her suspicious of being injured in the same way again. If you speak with charity and sensitivity it will usually show.

And of course there's always the pc police, who are just looking for a way to prove that they're better than the rest or to flex their moral muscles. Some use religion, some use secular modes like this one, but they are fundamentally the same.

I've found that you can't go really wrong if you remember to "bless those who curse you....for they may be right."

Hoping the best for you...

I actually agree. We are all so quick to say "racism" because of insecurities and ignorance. I know that different people have differences in body features, facial features, and cultural differences. I think people are so quick to believe stereotypes that it hard for them to differentiate what's real and what's not, so sometimes people CAN BE offensive and not even realize they are but some people can be overly sensitive too. MOST people who are face to face (NOT ON YAHOO ANSWERS OR INTERNET) wouldn't even say something they thought was racist but sometimes they do because they don't think it's wrong. I try not to get mad and try to explain what's real and what's not instead of blowing my top off. I have several friends of different nationalities and we do have racial discussions sometimes. But it's more for education and awareness then anything else. It helps. I know I'VE learned a lot.

It seems now a days that everyone is so self conscious about their appearance or ethnic back ground that they all seem to be spoiling for a fight. You are right. You cant voice your own opinion anymore without running into a whole world of trouble or getting stuck with a unfair label. I think that the politically correct situation is getting totally out of hand.

I agree, it is rather ridiculous. You got to be careful saying "black person" but no one cares if you say "white person". I saw someone wearing a shirt that said "black power" and he said something rude to me for no reason. Yet if it had been the other way around with a "white power" shirt someone would have got beat up. Why do people need to put so much emphasis on race. We all bleed and are humans. What's the problem. Everything is so sensitive and politically correct.

I think some people use "the race card" rather than face legitimate criticism, i.e. the black legislature in D.C. who tried to push through a security checkpoint without her ID and then said it was because she was black.

Instances like this insult the victims of true racism, and yet the media is afraid to call it what it is!

Also, imagine the outcry if a student group tried to open a "White Student Union"!!!

The social pendulum is swinging from Slavery to extreme Political Correctness. At one point it was considered socially acceptable to refer to African Americans by the "N" word. Now, as you say, we tend to be hyper sensitive about even talking about our differences. Remember, we are less than 50 years past Civil Rights in this country...
In the next hundred years, I hope the pendulum will swing back to where we can all coexist, see our differences and embrace them as part of what makes our multi-cultural nation a great place to be.

Maybe because other races have their own way of thinking and their culture, for example westerners eat bread as asian eat rice as their daily food.Dont anyone agree on this?

I stand right behind this fat lump of an eskimo-italian-jew. He blots out the sun with his racially characteristic obesity. He wants to rub noses with my daughter while selling me protection and loaning me money at out of control interest rates.

And what about that asian-black-mexican over there. Would you trust him to pass through your county? You're right, man. You can see I'm with you, can't you? Definitely worth 10 points, ain't it honky?
