Hi! I live in Palm Beach County, FL and am looking to get my daughter's ears pierced. Does anyone know of a place that specializes in infant ear piercing? Anything would be helpful... even a recomendation from a place that doesn't specialize in infants that you had a nice experience with. Thank you!

Please don't bother answering if you don't have an answer. I am not looking for an opinion... I am looking for a reputable place to take her.

I always just went to the Palm Beach Mall. JC Penney's there does a pretty good job.

Walmart will do it, but do NOT go there. I would never take my kids there to have their ears pierced because they messed mine up when I was younger. I'm no where near FL, but here in Ohio I called around to the local jewelers, and went from there. In my personal opnion, actual jewelry stores are best because you're getting good-quality piercing earings in your child's ears right away.
edit for everyone saying that piercing an infants ears has to do with being compulsive about looks. My mom had my ears pierced when I was 12 months. I have since had my ears pierced another 4 times on my left ear and 3 times on my right. Out of all of those, the ones my mom had done are the ONLY ones that never got infected. There is so much less of a chance that a little girls ears will get infected while she's a baby than if you wait.

Believe it or not, I had my daughter's ear peirced at Wal-Mart. They had two associates on hand and they did both ears at the same time so it was quick.
Don't listen to these people who say don't do it. If your ears are peirced or she has an older sister with pierced ears, then she will want them too. I think the younger you have them done the better. You are the one taking care of them, so they won't get infected. Also, when they are little they don't play with them like older girls do, so again they are less likely to become infected. Plus they grow up knowing how to take care of their ears.

I would take her to a cosmetologist, they are trained in piercing ears safely.
I have to admit I am in the "don't do it" boat. If you allow her to do it when she is older she will see it as a "coming of age" type thing. I got mine done when I was 8 and I remember it being a huge deal. Plus she will get to decide if she wants them done or not. I have always felt that if there was anything cosmetic to be done to a body it should be up to the person who has to live with it.
Either way I hope everything goes well.

Claire's boutiques do it. I think Piercing Pagoda does it too...
She must be at least 2 months old and have her first vaccines.
Personal Advice: Choose a gold earring, not silver.

Why not check your local phone book or the pediatrician's office. Not everyone who comes to these boards is from Florida.

Why don't you wait until she's older? It'll make a lot more sense and your daughter will be able to choose the earrings she wants and other things she needs to be able to decide.
