senate back this year.....whether your a bush basher, a "neocon hater, a left winger hater or just a liberal basher, you have to admit it will be a close race, the mudslinging campaigning is going on...I for one of many am throwing my vote away, let it drift down the sewer, thats what either party is doing to our country, they are so busy screaming and blaming each other they forgot about the people....ones racist yet both parties have racists among them, one is greedy (well no, that they all are), most people plan for tomorrow not a year from now, so people that will vote, will vote for what they see today, better economy, lower gas prices, better job market......back to the secure feeling because thats what the media wants you to believe, all agendas for the election but people dont care they just see its better for there pocket today....with either administration it will lead to further disaster until there is consistency within the parties and they all learn to get along,

I also forgot to mention most of the answers will prove what I mean about willing to critisize and make fun of rather than discuss or disagree, insults (mudslinging) will prevail....:-{

For Speef: As they say in the show business, bad news is as good as good news when it gets you in the media.....

Interesting analysis. We will see what happens. To some degree I agree with the gist of your premise, but I think the Democrats will take some of the house. Take control of it? I don't know. Election night is going to be one long night. I am glad I will not be working the next day.

I am a liberal basher but im not gonna lie I am a lil nervous. I think it will be EXTREMELY close. I already forgot the name of the Rep. from FL who just resigned b/c of his emails but that will prolly be replaced by a Dem. when the Rep. was a "shoe in" to be elected again. I hope we retain Senate but you never know. I do think however most Rep. voters keep their mouth shut most of the time so it seems an overwhelming amt. of ppl hate Bush and Rep. when in reality the Rep. voters come out of the woodworks and surprise everyone. If this werent the case Bush wouldnt have been re-elected b/c EVERYONE in the media and on alot of these websites were bashing Bush to no end. I hope we pull it out but I will admit it will be close and im not so confident this year!

After looking at the question and the answers so far I must have stumbled into a different reality or something, or is it the beginning of something worth while.
I think one reason the Clinton years worked was we had 2 parties in control. Every time we have one control all 3 points of power utter crap get passed, it doesn't matter which party is in control.

I hope the Democrats side wins either the house or senate. I'm a republican but having watched the absolute crap they have passed, please Democrats get your act together and win one for the country.

The races will not be that close as there is to much dislike of the Republican congress! It will only be close in whether the Dems get the house and Senate. The house is almost a given as all members are up for re-election the senate will require that the dems gain most of the seats up for election!

Democrats. according to probability he will ask Clinton to be his vice chairman...a black president and a woman vp...what a historic term for the White homestead! Bob Barr needs you to think of that he's a Libertarian, yet he's in simple terms as conservative as Bush.

I agree, so much BS is flung , from the media, talking heads,
an indignant blowhard politicos types. They forget 99% of
the people, change stations on TV and radio , and just ignore
all the noise till after the election is over and done with.

No. Not that close. With 57% of Americans in poll after poll saying we are on the wrong track - there are 3 Republican seats going down and as many as 17 that are in danger...plus this war in Iraq is not going so well. Change is what is wanted.

The Democrats seem intent on cutting their own throats. Look at the handling of terrorists they voted against, and the mad man who is leader of the party.

I personally hope you are wrong. Democrats must win one or both of the houses in order to return to our government of checks and balance. That way compromise can happen, the best case scenario is for a repuglican congress and a democratic president or visa, versa. One party rule is not good as we can see what has happened in the last 6 years.

I disagree. The Democrats will certainly win back the House. . .and the Senate is within easy reach.
