It's only true for the people that are tall from diseases and disorders, like Marfan's or Gigantism. It's not true for people that are naturally tall just due to good genes and the inherited DNA. I couldn't give you an article, but look up either of those conditions, and I'm sure you can find what you are looking for.

From experience, I can say it is false, It depends on how and what you do to your body as to how long you live. my husbands grandfather is 99 years old and pretty good health he is about 6 feet tall big boned.
