With the second baby it's totally different than with the first. "Lightning" can happen at any time during the first pregnancy in the last trimester, but with the second one, it may not happen until as late as when you go into labor or when your water breaks.
The baby will just be up higher in your pelvis and not drop until it's right ready to come out.
It's nothing to be concerned about and is totally normal.

To know if it's engaged, and it can happen before you go into labor (happened to me), then it'll feel like the baby is going to fall out any moment! You're afraid to squeeze your legs together, have sex, sit down, and it's harder to walk cuz it feels like their head is going to be hanging between your knees!
There's a LOT more pressure down there, too, and it doesn't feel like the baby is in your ribs anymore.

Congratulations on your coming baby!!!!

Unlike with your 1st pregnancy where u feel the baby drop any pregnancy after that the baby engages while you are in labour atleast that was the case with me.

Oh you'll know, you'll feel it in your hips. Its pretty uncomfortable. But it happens later with your second pregnancy than it did with your first. Often it doesn't happen until you are in labor.

Just keep walking, walking, walking!!

Have fun!

When you feel less pressure on your chest and lungs, and more in your pelvic region. You may also notice your belly looks lower.

You feel a shift and the pressure differently.

The pain and pressure is going to let you know and you won't have any problems knowing it.'
