Your question was thought provoking and I dissected it carefully. These were my findings:

Before using a psychologist, I would have a psychiatrist come in and ferret out all of the organic disorders, including language-dysfunctional individuals, since this is a writing and reading forum, and we're suddenly discriminating. They would draw out such unseemlies as those who cannot use commas, and ask questions like "There is a few -- ?" anything.

Only then would our psychologist sweep in and herd out the imbeciles who rage ignorantly against mental illness in a psychology forum, when there are at least a hundred other places to be.

Hmmmn... you'd lose the congregation. People ask here because they are aware that they are anonymous to a degree, and that they can withdraw at any time, when they feel too crowded or pressured. They may ask for help here, or declare their sadness and unease, or symptoms in order to gain support, or reassurance through others with similar experiences, either first or second hand, but they need never actually reveal their identity, and will not offer any more details than they desire to reveal. Should a Yahoo! Psychologist bgin to try and analyse them, they would likely retreat into oblivion, as they would have sought professional help in the first place if that's what they desired. The Internet is not the perfect place for such things. Although it would still be fairly anonymous, I doubt its success I'm afraid.

I see your point however, because there are some very unhappy and disturbed people here asking for help. In the meanwtime we should just attempt to support them as best as possible ourselves and avoid saying hurtful things in jest, as the likelihood of them laughing them off is low...
