Phil LYNOTT played in the excellent band Thin Lizzy.
By the way, did you know that Midge Ure played guitar with the Lizzy on tour when Garry Moore got the boot?
As did Snowy White (famous for the song Bird of Paradise).

It was Thin Lizzy. He was from Ireland were thin is pronounced tin and a Tin Lizzy is an old car. He did not expect to become famous, he expect that the Irish people would just call the band Tin Lizzy, he just liked the alternate spelling!!!
