Dear Princess N:

The focus whereby one can direct ourselves into studying is to focus ourselves.

To this, I mean by first have a detail checklist of ourselves. That is all our wants, needs, what's important and unimportant to us. Then priorities them. Upon doing this, check what trigger your wants, needs and what's top of your list.

Focus on the top three item. Those are the three that most interest you. Get books on these subjects. You'll then find that those books is very easy for you to read.

After some time on these subject, you'll find take you've gradually begin to take interest in reading and studying. Before long, studying will becomes a second nature in your life.

You also tend to begin to take interest in other subjects too. After months on these books, you'll find you can't be without books and you tend to be hook onto books.

Regards

Leslie

First set your goals.

Why do you want to study ?

and

What subject do you like to study ?

also

What are the benefits of your studying ?

If you have not got convincing answers for these questions, then studying would be a nightmare.

On the contrary, if you know why you study, and what you want, as well as having some idea of the benefits, then studying would be pleasant, and you would not waste a minute doing anything else.

Education will give you a better view of life. All you have to do is choose a topic you enjoy.

Also bear in mind that topics like Maths, Reading, and Writing, and Grammar are the stepping stones you have to learn before even being able to make further choices !

I can help with more specific studying issues if you provide more details.

You need to be studying the right thing(s) in order to love it.

Whatever interests you enough to become absorbed and ask further questions about something will lead you into further levels of interest.

Some people get involved in studying something because they were told to, or didn't know what else to do. But it remains true that you will always get more enjoyment out of your studies if you take a keen personal interest in the topics. If they don't interest you at all, you will never enjoy or love it.

Good Luck!

Well I'm not sure if you're asking how you can bring yourself to love study, or if you currently love to study and are asking how this can be.

If it's the former, then you need to find aspects of what you're studying that you do enjoy, or else make study fun. You could do this by creating colourful flash cards, writing study notes up on large sheets of paper and place them somewhere that you'll always see them, or play memory games with other's who are studying the same thing.

If you're asking the latter, that is wondering why you like to study, then you must either enjoy the subject you're studying or else find it satisfying. I think it's a common misconception that study is something to dread, with the right frame of mind it can be immensely satisfying and rewarding.

Curiosty. You need to be curious. If you are, that compels you to study and to learn. By being curious you delve into your studies because you'll be learning sometimes you didn't know but will know when you open your book and read.

you can see it as a challenege. how much are you able to memorize and most importantly, think about it in terms of your "existence". having a good job & all of that...it's better to realize that sooner than later.
