People are bored, dont know how or where to spend their time more wisely, they like the attention, and sometimes they just want the points.
There are a few serious-minded people here. I, for one, am one of them.

Now this is the complete opposite of the question I've answered to just a few minutes back lol.

Some people may have found your question amusing, or funny. It always depend on other people's impression as to how they absorb your question, really. However, that will actually enable you to determine other people's thoughts or even enable you to determine what's the funny side of your question(s). Like they say, "there are two sides to every story", so does your question(s), too.

It is perhaps a cute and convinient way to write something without answering the question because simply the person does not have an answer.

Cos a complex answer can be better understood if explained in a humorous way. Or, they wanna show that they can give a good reply even if they dont know the answer.
